1 Meter Spiral

In this work, I coiled a thin rebar with a 6mm diameter into a spiral disc with its diameter reaching 1 meter. Instead of suggesting any directivity, the total length of the rebar gives its way to the repetitive winding cycles like a tree ring. It is another language feature: the continually extending and expanding dense vortex, seemingly expressing a meaningless accumulation of movement, turns out to present a visual tension and dynamism filled with material density.
