1 Kilometer Tower

I spirally weld a 1000-meter rebar into a three-meter-tall cone tower.

The length, or the distance, used to appear as a line between two points in my mind. When I was considering replacing the original concept of line representing length, the image of mountain road came to me, in which the winding endows the otherwise straight line with the dimension of spatial sense. Later, I decided to present it in the form of a cone, pointed and spiraling up. I controlled its diameter so that the height finally reaches 3 meters. It is a monument that I created for the leghth of one kilometer. It serves as a symbol of human definition of things in dialogue with the natural environment.
