Resemblance

Creation Time: 2011 Size: 420x25x35cm Material: red eucalyptus

A few woods will face the separation of its core from the whole during the natural air drying because of the uneven shrinkage. As I notice the feature by accident, I managed to separate the intact tree core from its whole, emphasizing the echoing spatial relationship between the positive and negative parts. Although the two parts appear opposite, one square and another round, one hollow and another solid, they indicate a naturally harmonious connection that we viewers would believe that they once belonged to the same body.
