I cut out a wooden square bar with approximately 1-meter length based on eyeballing and divided it into 1000 equal sections with scale mark, according to my subjective perception. The seemingly regular meter ruler turns out to be 4.5-cm shorter than the real one, suggesting the distance between our perceptual experience and the object in reality. However, it is the distance that creates the art as I could explore my body’s real capture of the sense of space in the procedure of producing this work.
