One Span

I magnified 7 times of my one span (206mm) in the form of a steel plate with the length of 1442mm as a scale symbol.

I want to detach the “scale” from the ruler, the measuring tool, or any other medium, which itself is a concrete image of an abstract concept. Treating it as an object, I enlarge the sign of scale as the magnification we usually adopt in doing sculptures. Therefore, despite the marked plate loses its meaning in terms of suggesting length, it gains the new signification as a sculpture, an artwork.
